All these examples I presented are blatant actions of cultural appropriation. In the Hip Hop culture its called biting, anytime you take someones culture and fail to give props and credit to the originator you are biter aka culture appropriater. 40 years ago Hip Hop was labled as a passing fad like the pet rock , now we see corporate conglomerates making billions of dollars by appropriating Hip Hop ! With all that being said I agree with Baruti's stance on cultural appropriation and marketing. And in conclusion "gangster rap" made a couple Melanated people rich yet several non Melanated people became wealthy.
