At home I was raised to be a Christian (Baptist) then during mass at my school St Augustine (Catholic) I was not allowed to participate in communion even though I had been baptised and accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. This event lead me on a lifelong journey to learn and apply any positive practices from all paths of spirtuality, not just Christian. I have had several people get angry with me because I refuse to adhere to one religion therefore Rhythm is my Religion.

Ken Camell ll 11/25/2020 Hum 6 Prof Sabzevary Jesus and The Young Ruler After reading about Jesus's encounter with the young wealthy ruler who inquired about entrance into The Kingdom of God (Heaven) I reached a solid conclusion .Based on the requirements set forth by God the path to Heaven is paved with stones basalt which are chiseled/molded through laborious random acts of kindness and genuine empathy. These stones are bonded by consistently helping those in need and by living a life guided by a high (divine) moral compass. The young wealthy ruler was conflicted with the ultimatum of continuing to live like a king on Earth and then suffering in the life after or live like a pawn (soldier) on Earth and be rewarded in life plus the life after. Jesus also reassured Peter that those who sacrificed their worldly possessions and for the sake of being Loyal to God will also be greatly rewarded in this life and the life after. As a matter of fact Jesus's motivational speech is reminiscent of the last will be the first metaphor leaving the impression that "success" in this life doesn't guarantee you entry into the pearly gates of Heaven.
