Hey Kenneth,
I think what you wrote about is something that everyone needs to become aware of. The profit being made through the demise of others is a sick and twisted industry that has no regard for human life. This world is infected by greed so heavily that we lose our own morality for the sake of our own materialistic values.
My response...
Very true. I think Dwight Eisenhower warned his generation about the consequences of an industrial war complex. A vast array of artsists from Marvin Gaye to The .Beatles ,The Last Poets and Gil Scott definitely attempted to wake up the masses back in 1960s and 1970s. Since then Melle Mel, Public Enemy,KRS, Brand Nubian, Tupac, Wu-Tang ,Dead Prez, Rage Against The Machine etc have made calls to action to address the industrialization of war, prisons, police violence, inner city violence and other socio-economic ills however capitalism resides at the core of ills I mentioned.....
Ps Lupe Fiasco's mixtape called Friend of The People attempted to warn the masses .Melvin Bliss has song called Synthetic Substitution, he attempted to warn the people as well.
Pps The planet Earth needs a Love and Empathy spill.
